The race, in words
In the Open division at Berlin 2026, Vanessa Manecke crossed the line in 1:29:57: 120th of 356 women, faster than 66% of the field.
A station race more than a running one: 76% of the field beaten on the stations, against 53% on the runs. Nowhere gained more than the burpee broad jumps: 1:30 on the median. A harder second half: 3:10 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Berlin ran slow: the 1,345 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 1:57 slower here than at their other races.
