The race, in words
In the Doubles Open division at Cancun 2026, Alan Espinosa & Regina Loza Jiménez crossed the line in 1:16:09: 56th of 201 mixed teams, faster than 72% of the field.
A station race more than a running one: 87% of the field beaten on the stations, against 62% on the runs. The burpee broad jumps were the standout, 1:01 quicker than the median and 24th of 201. A harder second half: 1:36 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Cancun ran slow: the 324 teams who also raced elsewhere this season were about 3:42 slower here than at their other races.
