The race, in words
In the Pro division at Manchester 2026, Catrin Hughes crossed the line in 1:24:50: 64th of 146 women, faster than 56% of the field.
A station race more than a running one: 75% of the field beaten on the stations, against 45% on the runs. The burpee broad jumps were the standout, 1:20 quicker than the median and 34th of 146. Stronger after halfway: 1:00 better against the middle of the field than before it.
Manchester ran slow: the 179 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 1:49 slower here than at their other races.
