The race, in words
In the Open division at Manchester 2024, Jake Bickerstaffe crossed the line in 1:19:05: 536th of 1,206 men, faster than 56% of the field.
The sandbag lunges were where this race was made, 0:40 ahead of the median. If there was time left out there, it was on the farmers carry, 0:32 behind the median. Stronger after halfway: 1:59 better against the middle of the field than before it.
Athletes who raced both Manchester 2024 and Birmingham 2024 were 4:14 faster here, so this time looks a little better than it was.
