The race, in words
In the Doubles Open division at Milan 2024, Ilaria Geda & Tabata Bezzo Llufrio crossed the line in 1:20:02: 118th of 584 women's teams, faster than 80% of the field.
Legs and stations told different stories: 91% of the field beaten on the runs, 50% on the stations. Nowhere gained more than the burpee broad jumps: 0:37 on the median. A harder second half: 1:23 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Milan ran slow: the 394 teams who also raced elsewhere this season were about 3:00 slower here than at their other races.
