The race, in three figures
The race, in words
In the Open division at Dallas 2023, Matthew Cleaver crossed the line in 1:18:11: 51st of 436 men, faster than 88% of the field.
Legs and stations told different stories: 95% of the field beaten on the runs, 68% on the stations. Nowhere gained more than the burpee broad jumps: 1:47 on the median. If there was time left out there, it was on the sled pull, 0:49 behind the median.
Dallas ran slow: the 250 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 1:59 slower here than at their other races.
