The race, in words
In the Open division at Frankfurt 2022, Tobias Süß crossed the line in 1:20:48: 151st of 350 men, faster than 57% of the field.
A station race more than a running one: 75% of the field beaten on the stations, against 42% on the runs. Nowhere gained more than the sled pull: 1:07 on the median. A harder second half: 2:38 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Frankfurt ran fast: the 241 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 2:11 quicker here than at their other races.
