The race, in words
In the Open division at Hamburg 2019, Birgit Omnitz crossed the line in 1:27:36: 67th of 311 women, faster than 79% of the field.
A station race more than a running one: 96% of the field beaten on the stations, against 59% on the runs. Nowhere gained more than the burpee broad jumps: 2:38 on the median. A harder second half: 2:57 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Hamburg ran slow: the 125 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 1:58 slower here than at their other races.
