The race, in words
Barbara Seiberl-Stark finished 307th of 490 women in the Open division at Karlsruhe 2026, in 1:43:50.
Legs and stations told different stories: 48% of the field beaten on the runs, 4% on the stations. If there was time left out there, it was on the wall balls, 2:11 behind the median. A harder second half: 6:21 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Karlsruhe ran slow: the 376 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 3:02 slower here than at their other races. 6:55 slower than at Berlin 2025, the previous Open race.
