The race, in words
In the Pro division at Mexico City 2026, Carlos Vergara Vázquez crossed the line in 1:22:10: 77th of 405 men, faster than 81% of the field.
A station race more than a running one: 87% of the field beaten on the stations, against 65% on the runs. Nowhere gained more than the wall balls: 2:36 on the median. A harder second half: 1:22 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Mexico City ran slow: the 154 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 6:17 slower here than at their other races.
