The race, in words
In the Doubles Open division at Mexico City 2026, Nancy Castillo & JORGE TORRES OLMOS crossed the line in 1:31:56: 724th of 1,531 mixed teams, faster than 53% of the field.
Legs and stations told different stories: 66% of the field beaten on the runs, 29% on the stations. If there was time left out there, it was on the sandbag lunges, 1:38 behind the median. A harder second half: 1:00 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Mexico City ran slow: the 613 teams who also raced elsewhere this season were about 3:57 slower here than at their other races.
