The race, in words
Katarzyna Sokolowska finished 146th of 436 women in the Open division at Mexico City 2026, in 1:38:26, faster than 67% of the field.
A station race more than a running one: 80% of the field beaten on the stations, against 48% on the runs. The burpee broad jumps were the standout, 2:13 quicker than the median and 51st of 436. The race faded late: the second half went 1:01 worse against the middle of the field than the first.
Mexico City ran slow: the 433 athletes who also raced elsewhere this season were about 7:26 slower here than at their other races. That was 9:28 off the time at Ottawa 2026.
