The race, in words
In the Open division at Athens 2026, Karolina Zajda-Mika crossed the line in 1:21:49: 56th of 324 women, faster than 83% of the field.
Legs and stations told different stories: 90% of the field beaten on the runs, 63% on the stations. If there was time left out there, it was on the wall balls, 0:44 behind the median. The race faded late: the second half went 1:17 worse against the middle of the field than the first.
That was 3:44 off the time at Riga 2026.
