The race, in three figures
The race, in words
In the Open division at Gdansk 2024, Mariusz Kowalski crossed the line in 1:16:52: 119th of 473 men, faster than 75% of the field.
Nowhere gained more than the sandbag lunges: 2:23 on the median. On the wall balls the field had the edge, by 0:42. A harder second half: 1:15 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Athletes who raced both Gdansk 2024 and Katowice 2024 were 4:23 faster here, so this time looks a little better than it was.
