The race, in three figures
The race, in words
In the Open division at Birmingham 2026, Stephen Downey crossed the line in 1:20:48: 578th of 1,442 men, faster than 60% of the field.
Nowhere gained more than the sandbag lunges: 0:50 on the median. On the wall balls the field had the edge, by 1:10.
Athletes who raced both Birmingham 2026 and London Olympia 2026 were 1:29 faster here, so this time looks a little better than it was.
