The race, in words
In the Open division at Cape Town 2025, Abigail Hlambelo crossed the line in 1:25:19: 74th of 431 women, faster than 83% of the field.
The sled pull was the standout, 2:00 quicker than the median and 29th of 431. A harder second half: 1:21 more lost to the middle of the field after halfway than before it.
Athletes who raced both Cape Town 2025 and Johannesburg I 2025 were 6:19 faster here, so this time looks a little better than it was.
